A dog aims to please their owners, but just like children, they also like to stretch the rules as much as possible. No one can blame them because it's coming from a place of love. It's not their fault they want to be by their owner's side 24/7.
One golden retriever named Hunter does not quite understand why he is not allowed upstairs. The only reason why he finds it tempting is because he sees his owner go up there without him. And well, who wouldn't want their doggo to follow them around the house?
Luckily, in an October 27 video, Hunter found a loophole to get upstairs. Not only does his loophole take skill, but it also shows how smart he is to come with this trickery.
The video text reads, "In Hunter's mind, if he goes backwards...he hasn't really been upstairs at all." You can't argue with that logic!
Instead of trying to make a break for it and running up the stairs, Hunter took his time. Slowly and quietly, he walked up the stairs, turning his head ever so slightly to make sure no one would stop him.
It's unclear why the pup isn't allowed upstairs, but he's greeted with pets at the top. The only thing missing is a dog treat for mischief well managed.
The perfect music selection added to the @mrdanwalker's TikTok video just proves the point that this dog is trying to complete mission impossible and get upstairs. His sneaky ways worked. And despite what the owner thinks, commenters are coming to this dog's defense left and right.
"Actually, Hunter is coming down, but the owner shows the video in rewind! Poor Hunter," wrote one TikTok user. How dare this owner paint Hunter in a bad light?!
He is technically following the rules. Another viewer added: "Hunter is VERY smart...sharpest knife in the drawer and he has my full support."
@mummabigt said: "You do know that by going backwards it makes him invisible." In no way, shape or form is Hunter to blame!
