Columbus Short, who starred for two seasons on ABC's hit TV series Scandal,has been ordered out of the home he shares with wife Karrine Steffans.
A judge granted Steffans a temporary restraining order against the actor on Monday, according to TMZ.
The Vixen author alleged she felt in danger from his drunken rages during which he had kicked down their bedroom door and in another incident had threatened her 18-year-old son, the website reported.

The granting of the restraining order comes one week after Short took to social media to accuse her husband of cheating
In a now deleted Instagram post, Steffans, 37, posted a photo of the 33-year-old sitting in a chair while his clothes have been strewn all over the floor of what appears to be the lobby of an undisclosed building. An open suitcase lies empty nearby.
The photo had the caption: 'Somebody come get @officialcshort cheating a** and all his s***.'

Just a month ago, Short had declared his love with Steffans and shared moments from their private wedding ceremony in his debut music video for '50 Shades'.
According to an Instagram post in January, the former video vixen had claimed they married.
But on Tuesday Short told TMZ that he and Steffans were not officially married.
The former scandal star's second wife Tanee McCall filed for divorce in 2014 and at that time sought a restraining order against her ex.
She was granted the TRO after accusing Short of choking her and threatening to kill her and himself during a fight in April that year.

Short, best known for his role as Harrison Wright on Scandal, avoided jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence.
But he was axed from the Shonda Rhimes series after he was charged in two criminal cases, one for spousal battery and another of felony assault after he seriously injured a man during an altercation at a West Hollywood restaurant.
He avoided jail a second time after pleading no contest to a felony count of assault likely to cause great bodily injury after he knocked out the man and broke his nose.

Short was sentenced to three years' probation and two months of community labor, and he must take 26 anger-management classes.
He later revealed in an interview with Hollywood Access Live that he was asked to depart the hit drama due to his abuse of cocaine and alcohol.
'I was struggling with drugs,' he admitted. 'I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life.'
