Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's Max Mara Moments
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are both fans of the Italian fashion brand Max Mara with both royal sisters-in-law choosing from a range of the house's core styles and signature pieces for their official engagements.
Kate has been the longest established royal fan of the brand, wearing pieces from their ready-to-wear collections throughout the 2010s, most notably for maternity wear during her first two pregnancies.
Recently Kate announced that she has taken on the patronage of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, an organization which advocates for and prioritizes new and expectant mothers' mental health. In a special video announcement of the patronage, Kate chose a Max Mara dress for the occasion.

In video speech released to formally announce her patronage of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance and to mark maternal mental health week in the U.K, Kate wore a flattering blue and white floral dress from the brand's studio label.
The dress features a delicate print of blue florals against a white ground and is a relaxed fit in the shirt dress style with pleated skirt detail.
Scotland February 24, 2016
Kate wore a striking moss green longline coat with belted waist accent on a 2016 visit to St Catherine's Primary School in Scotland. The duchess's coat was made as part of Max Mara's Sportmax line and she completed her ensemble with black suede heels by Stuart Weitzman and matching handbag from Mulberry.
Kate debuted the coat two months earlier at the annual Christmas Day church service at Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham estate. On that occasion she paired the coat with black suede boots and a green felt hat from Lock & Co.

For a February 2015 visit to the Emma Bridgewater factory in Staffordshire, Kate wore an elegant blue wool coat from Max Mara's Sportmax collection.
She paired the coat with a blue printed Seraphine day dress and accessories by Jimmy Choo and L.K. Bennett.

For an engagement in Portsmouth when pregnant with her second child, Princess Charlotte, Kate wore a white 'Villar' style coat dress with Jimmy Choo high heels and an L.K. Bennett clutch bag.

Meghan Markle has long been a fan of Max Mara's camel coats having incorporated their high end luxe but relaxed style into her wardrobe since before she met Prince Harry.
A stand-out Max Mara look from Meghan though was worn during her September 2021 visit to New York with Harry—one of her first major trips since her landmark interview with Oprah Winfrey months earlier.
During the trip, Meghan and Harry made two visits to the U.N. to discuss the pandemic and vaccine equality. On the first visit Meghan stunned in a bold black and tan outfit which included Max Mara's 'Rispoli' camel hair coat. She completed the look with Giorgio Armani black suede heels and an oyster colored handbag from the brand Valextra.

On the second visit to the U.N. on her trip to New York in September 2021, Meghan wore two key Max Mara pieces including a 'Lilia' camel coat and what were reported to be a pair of the brand's high waisted camel trousers.
Meghan changed into an embellished Valentino mini dress to appear later that day on stage with husband, Harry, at the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park.
